Strengthening institutional management, focused on cultural policy based on the artistic talent of the territory, as well as expanding goods and services as a socialist state company promoting local development, are priorities for the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) in Holguín.

In line with the new forms of management and economic actors, the aim is to establish efficient production chains that make import substitution possible, and extend different areas and services towards electronic commerce, Manuel Hernández Ramos, director of the FCBC affiliate, told ACN.

He expressed the need to strengthen ties with new actors, establishing alliances that contribute to the development of the country, in addition to promoting forms of management, through the New Business Group in charge of organizing, guiding and strengthening these activities, mainly for the self employed.

This Group has achieved the entry into the territory of materials such as glassware, large-format mirrors, cement, textile and welding products, carpentry and others that are vital in the manufacture of furniture and shoes, explained the manager.

In addition, to achieve a successful economic and cultural articulation, the subsidiary relies on the work of several entities belonging to the Fund that contribute to the state, business and residential development, among them Ambientes por encargo, Casa Marco, the Cuadernos Papiro Creation Workshop , as well as the fairs and points of sale, located in various areas of Holguín.

Hernández Ramos highlighted the commercialization of his products to the different chain stores through the sale of utilitarian objects of excellent quality, design and manufacture elaborated by the artisans and artists of the territory, as part of process of reordering the company.

Likewise, he insisted on the impact of relevant commercial and exhibition events such as the Iberoarte International Crafts Fair and the national events Art for Mom and Art for Dad, generating income for the local and national economy.

The Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets is one of the most important entities in the promotion of creativity in the province, which enables it to prevail successfully within the artistic and socioeconomic movement in the country, based on notable results and income and its participation in tasks of local impact.
