Industrial production has begun of Cuba’s candidate vaccines Soberana 02 and Abdala (CIGB-66), two of the four developed on the island to combat COVID-19, with progress advancing at BioCubaFarma facilities.
The 2023-2024 cold campaign began this Saturday, September 2, in the province of Holguín with a massive voluntary work in the agricultural area of Beola of this eastern territory.

A total of 89.8 % of the Cuban population has already completed the vaccination program against COVID-19, with the immunogens developed in the country, Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.

At the meeting with governors and the mayor of the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, the meeting focused on complying with the municipalities’ food budget, reviewing the contracting of agricultural products in line with current production methods, and thoroughly evaluating the plans.
