The eastern province of Holguín has always been the cradle of great athletes, but before 1959 most of the competitors in this region could not display all their qualities, due to the lacking of support from the governments of the day and the minimal attention or underestimation of the sports authorities of the country.

Sixteen Cuban wrestlers will travel to Italy this Friday for a training camp in Ostia and to take part in the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series in Rome.

The Provincial Scientific Conference on Stomatology, Odontos-2022, will be held in-person from September 30 to October 4 in Holguín, with the aim of promoting the exchange of experiences and scientific results among specialists and students from the territory.
