Sometimes questions come to mind when we see that in our own land, some brothers and sisters have allowed hatred to cloud their vision. There are those who, blinded by resentments, have aligned themselves with the old mafia that for decades has tried to stifle the dignity of a people by poisoning the truth.

But if the heart aches from the thorn of estrangement, today, from the depths of my being, I want to tell you another story. The one that doesn't make the headlines of heartbreak. The one that arrives in the dust of roads, in hands tired from holding flags, in gazes that need no translator to understand the word "brother."

Here, in this piece of land that continues to resist, the miracle happened. The Our America Convoy arrived. And they didn't arrive alone. They arrived with the living memory of Martí and the indomitable spirit of those who know that solidarity is not a fad, but a reason for living.

Thank you to the Convoy delegation for every kilometer traveled, for every engine that roared against the blockade, for every knowing glance that restored our faith. Thank you for being proof that there are millions of people around the world who are committed to peace, to building bridges, to love in the face of hate.

While some, from the comfort of a lie repeated a thousand times, relentlessly attack this island, you choose to put yourselves on the line. You choose to come and embrace the Cuban people, to share bread, to say without fear: "We are here, because we know that freedom is also called justice."

That is why, in this chronicle of an ordinary day that has become historic, I want to thank you. Because thanks to you, and to all those who love Cuba and its people with a love that is unwavering, we know that we are not alone. There are millions who, despite the hate campaigns, choose revolutionary tenderness, the outstretched hand, the caravan bringing hope.

Thank you, Convoy Our America. Thank you, compassionate world. Because today, in the midst of the storm, you remind us that love will always be stronger.
