Holguín hosts virtual health innovation conference

The Health Innovator Day is taking place from today until October 28 in the city of Holguín, this time in virtual format, with the aim of sharing the main advances in the sector.
According to the event program, researchers from Pinar del Río, Havana, Camagüey, Cienfuegos, Santiago de Cuba, Las Tunas, and Granma will participate, along with graduating medical students.
Among the topics included in the program are critical care; natural and traditional medicine; chronic non-communicable diseases; monitoring of pregnant and breastfeeding women; and the use of new technologies.
The event will provide a forum for discussion and updates on issues impacting the improvement of healthcare at the community, primary, and hospital levels.
The conference is one of the initiatives of the Holguín University of Medical Sciences to ensure the professional development of its students and their entry into doctoral programs from the undergraduate level.
The virtual format will guarantee the fulfillment of this objective amidst the fuel crisis that has affected the country for several months. (Source: ACN)
