AHS in Holguín announces 27th Celestino Short Story Prize

Ediciones La Luz and the literature section of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín invite all Cuban writers under the age of 35 residing in the country to participate in the 27th Celestino Short Story Prize, this year dedicated to writer Jorge Luis Borges and the 40th anniversary of the AHS.
Contestants may submit an unpublished manuscript, with a minimum length of 45 pages and a maximum of 70 (Times New Roman, 12 pt., 1.5 line spacing). Submissions will be accepted until May 18, 2026.

The jury's decision will be announced on June 12th. The prize will consist of a certificate, 10,000 pesos (national currency), and publication of the book (print + ebook) by the publishing house, with the corresponding payment of royalties.
Under the slogan "Celestino in a labyrinth of time", the event for the 27th edition of the award will take place from June 9 to 13 of this year in the province of Holguín.
