Ediciones La Luz, a imprint of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín, launched its new book and reading promotion campaign in the Abrirse las Constelaciones space, under the slogan "Here the Light is Heard."
This initiative defends the connections between literature and sound, with a focus on audiobooks.
Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of CMKO Radio Angulo and the 40th anniversary of the AHS, the campaign will last twelve months and center on the Quemapalabra Collection, designed to preserve the memory of the voice through the auditory format.
Designer Roberto Raéz drew inspiration from Caravaggio's painting The Incredulity of Saint Thomas to create a graphic world where a seashell, bathed in warm colors, emits sounds that spread light everywhere.
Raéz fused his passion for design and writing to achieve this visual result.
Journalist and writer Erian Peña praised the publisher's approach to authentic dialogues and loyalty to literature, stating that it builds a shared memory that dispels darkness with luminous sounds.
Natalia Díaz Riverón, director of Provincial Radio, described the collaboration on audiobooks as a luxury, while Yailin Ojeda, AHS vice president, highlighted its role in promoting young art.
New AHS members in Literature read their own texts at the event, showcasing emerging voices. Ediciones La Luz, with over 25 years promoting reading, promises books to listen to in 2026, amplifying its sonic proposal.
