Uruguay´s President Tabare Vazquez and President-elect Jose Mujica, both representing Frente Amplio (FA), a coalition of left-wing parties, are meeting Monday to discuss the transition process and the implementation of the State Reform.

The residential retreat of Anchorena, located in the Colonia Departament, some 180 kilometers from Montevideo, will be the venue for the meeting of the two Broad Front leaders.

The members of the current Council Ministers were also invited to take part in the gathering, aimed also at assessing the results of the first FA administration that came into power in 2005 and will pass the responsibilities of Government to Mujica´s team next March 1st, 2010.

The future Cabinet will be announced on Tuesday at Montevideo´s Executive Tower, close to the central Independence Square, at a ceremony that Vazquez and his ministers will attend.

On a radio address on Sunday, Mujica reiterated that he will continue to push forward the changes Vazquez had already began, and will deepen the State reform. "It will unleash tensions, but it will be a challenge," he said.
