Solidarity with the Five Heroes and their relatives has been strengthened in the last few days, and the Cubaminrex website is reporting activities held in Argentina, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Kiribati and Sri Lanka.
The Argentinian Committee for the Release of the Cuban Five sent a letter to US ambassador to that nation Vilma Martinez, requesting humanitarian visas to Olga Salanueva and Adriana Perez to visit their spouses in the United States.
 
The Cuba 2011 International Book Fair will be dedicated to ALBA
Once more, the International Book Fair proved to be the cultural event held with the largest amount of participants on the island –over two million 600 thousand Cubans on this occasion.
The 20th edition of Havana’s International Book Fair will be dedicated in 2011 to the countries making up the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA), and to intellectuals Fernando Martinez and Jaime Sarusky.

Art Instructors Taking Part in the International Book Fair
Since the very start of the International Book Fair in Holguin, children have at the Manuel Dositeo Aguilera culture house a space for joy and learning thanks to the work done by the members of the Jose Marti brigade of art instructors. Children have been amused there with different proposals brought by art instructors, mostly through taking to the stage the works they have rehearsed in the different elementary and junior high schools they have been working in.

The Annual Award for Community Environmental Education Jorge Ramón Cuevas was delivered to José Ramón González Miranda, history teacher at the Mining Higher Institute in Moa, in a solemn ceremony held in his own house in Reparto Rolando Monterrey.
 
Health Facilities in Holguin
Health facilities in the territory were renovated with a combination of builders, maintenance crews and workers from the centers themselves. First aid rooms, classrooms or laboratories are the first fronts to be remodelled.
