Holguin shooter Leuris Pupo, one of the stars of the Cuban delegation in Barranquilla-2018, told Radio Havana Cuba to find himself in good shape to look for four titles in his fourth regional games, although he warned that he will face quality rivals like the Venezuelan Felipe Beuvrin.
"This has been the best year for shooting in terms of training. Not even for the Olympic Games we have trained like this,” said the Olympic champion London-2012 and one of the most awarded marksmen in regional appointments, with 12 medals (8-3-1).
With experience in five Olympic Games, Pupo recalled that this year they attended a training base in El Salvador and a World Cup (Germany) and highlighted that they have new weapons and quality bullets and a remodeled training center in the Enrique Borbonet field in Havana.
Pupo has never lost in his favorite test, the 25 m fast pistol, between Maracaibo-98 and Veracruz-2014, in which he files six golds, not counting San Salvador-2002 and Mayaguez-2010, games in which Cuba did not participate. / Radio Angulo
