Labor and teaching activities were suspended from today for an additional 48 hours while the recovery and stabilization of the National Electric Service (SEN) are achieved, informed Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

In joint television and radio broadcast, the Head of State explained thus Monday that the decision is a necessary step to facilitate the work of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) in repairing the damages caused by the cyber sabotage perpetrated by the right against the Simon Bolivar hydroelectric plant (El Guri), on March 7.

'The measure of ceasing work and lessons will be until Wednesday, March 13. We will continue to restore electric service in the cities and for this I ask for maximum understanding,' the President summed up.

By offering a detailed account of the various attacks, Maduro again denounced the US Government as being primarily responsible for the technology used in the damage caused to the SEN.

Likewise, he accused the coup-making sector of the local right of supporting and justifying this crime against humanity that violates all human rights of Venezuelans.

Maduro acknowledged 'the civic conduct of the population, both the revolutionary and the opponents, for the gigantic civic demonstration in those hard hours we went through, resisting the brutal and fascist aggression, and ignoring attempts to generate violence.'

In this regard, he asked for understanding to the population if in its sector or city the service falls again, as the technological attacks continue.

Maduro assured that the workers of Corpoelec, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and public institutions maintain the work for the total recovery of the SEN.

'Let's defend our peace, let's spread the truth and we are heading for a great victory against the greatest electric shock that they have perpetrated against Venezuela,' Maduro foresaw.

The President highlighted that in Venezuela there will be no war, no destruction, no invasion.' Venezuelans want to have peace, quietness and we will advance in the next hours. United, in civic-military union, because victory belongs to us! ', he added. / PL
