The 23rd edition of MITM Americas meeting, scheduled for May in Havana, could be classified as the major event of its kind in Latin America and the Caribbean this year, organizers said on Monday.
Spanish group GSAR Marketing, which prepares the tourism event of congresses and meetings, announced this view in a statement issued in Havana.
The group also stated that the meeting coincides with the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Villa San Cristobal de La Habana, on November 16, 2019, for which there is a broad plan of activities.
According to the message, this is the major MICE tourism event for this region, dedicated to professional exchanges in the sector of congresses, meetings and incentive trips.
In only three weeks, more than 200 MICE buyers interested in participating (from about 40 countries) have already registered.
Representatives from Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Slovenia, Spain, France, and Guatemala, make up the list.
Honduras, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United States are also included.
