"Give me Venezuela in which to serve her. She has a son in me," said Martí in 1881, and it is the same sentiment of its people today, who manifest a deep feeling of solidarity and support for the sister nation, especially in light of the rising tension caused by the United States and its deployment of naval forces in the region.
The scenario is very dangerous as the State Department, headed by Marco Rubio, using shameless lies to try to cover up any illegal and cruel action against a noble, supportive, and peace-loving people, determined to prevent the usurpation of their land.
The Pentagon's deployment of a powerful naval force, not seen since 1965, when the invasion and occupation of the sister Dominican Republic, is disrespectful, contrary to the proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, signed by its presidents in 2014 in Havana.
Everyone knows that the true objective behind these maneuvers is to seize Venezuela's oil reserves, the world's largest reserves, and other natural resources, which represents a serious and unacceptable threat to the country's sovereignty and the stability of the entire Caribbean región.
It highlights the international rejection these actions provoke, with various voices demanding the withdrawal of U.S. forces and emphasizing that a military aggression would have disastrous consequences for regional peace and break fundamental international norms.
The Revolutionary Government of Cuba denounces the escalation of US actions to justify this attack, with its constant provocations to unleash conflict.
There are multiple denunciations and warnings from blocs, groups of countries, nations, individuals, and popular and social movements regarding the illegal US military presence in the peaceful waters of the Caribbean.
But the stubborn Empire, with its warlike zeal, increases the false narratives promoted by its powerful media propaganda apparatus. They brazenly talk about combating drug trafficking, prepare justifications, provocations, attack civilian vessels and murder their crews, with unjustified interception and detention, in violation of international norms, which confirm the hostile and senseless nature of the ongoing operation.
They increase the dissemination of psychological warfare messages, trying to legitimize these operations in the public eye, under the pretext that Venezuela represents a threat to their national security. They continue to increase their military resources and personnel in the Caribbean Sea, with nuclear-armed destroyers, assault helicopters, and some 4,000 soldiers.
The Declaration of the Revolutionary Government, which urgently calls for the prevention of military aggression, receives the full support of the Cuban people, who never want war and are totally against the trampling of the sister Bolivarian Republic and the threat to the Caribbean Region, when it is urgent to separate lies from reality.
The Cubans' signature expresses this as a manifestation of shared solidarity, a true essence tha no invading army can understand, much less destroy.
