Gibara Ready for New Edition of Int’l Film Festival

The attractive colonial city of Gibara, also known as Villa Blanca de los Cangrejos, is getting ready to host the 15th edition of the International Film Festival (FIC) from July 7 to 13, with more than 70 films in competitions from countries such as Germany Spain, United Kingdom, Iceland, Switzerland, Argentina and Cuba.

Holguín Opens Exhibitions Dedicated to Electa Arenal

Three exhibitions of plastic arts were opened on June 12 at the Art Center of the city of Holguín, as part of the activities of “Buscando a Electa", an event that until June 14 will pay homage to the Mexican painter, sculptor and muralist Electa Arenal Huerta, on the 50th anniversary of her physical disappearance.
