The 33rd edition of the Romerías de Mayo concluded in the city of Holguín with the traditional raising of the Hacha de Holguín, a symbol of the event. The celebration was dedicated to the cultural thought of Fidel Castro, highlighting his influence on Cuban identity and cultural development.

During the closing ceremony, delegates took part in the traditional tree planting. Attendees also enjoyed a concert by Issac Delgado and his band, providing a festive ending at the Calixto García Stadium parking área.

As part of the Memoria Nuestra Thought Congress, awards were presented to outstanding academic works and artistic projects. This space encouraged dialogue and exchange between generations of Cuban artists and researchers.

Among the award winners, Roxana Beatriz Rodríguez Hidalgo was recognized for her paper on the Asociación Hermanos Saíz, while Gemay Castillo received the prize in the projects category. Mentions were also granted, along with a special recognition to La Periquera Museum for its cultural heritage value.

In its final days, the event promoted local cultural values through various artistic expressions across the city. The Romerías de Mayo reaffirmed its role as an international festival of young artists, emphasizing the balance between tradition and modernity and the preservation of authentic cultural values.
