Cuba expands tax benefits for renewable energy

On Tuesday, Cuba reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward illicit drug trafficking by presenting the results of the comprehensive crackdown carried out during 2025, a period in which 1,941 kilograms of narcotics originating from maritime landings were seized.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, called on Wednesday for dialogue with the United States, which they asked to renounce its plans to blockade the Caribbean island.
The document adopted at the 39th Ordinary Session that concluded this Sunday includes, for the third time, the AU’s explicit call to remove the Caribbean nation from the unilateral and unjustified list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism, stressing the arbitrary nature of this designation.
