Cuban Workers to Debate New Labor Bill

The Cuban Workers’ Confederation (CTC) and its unions are preparing the upcoming consultation by all workers in the country of a new Labor Code bill.
The head of the Confederation’s Department for Labor and Social Affairs Roberto Betharte said that preparations for the consultation include a seminar in Havana on May 30th, according to Trabajadores Newspaper, https://tinyurl.com/yz9js97u .
The official said that a major aspect of the Bill to be debated from September to November is the inclusion in the new code of all labor rights of non-state workers.
Provincial and municipal seminars about the content of the bill will also be held prior to the consultation, said the CTC official. (Source: ACN)
