The Panamanians Saúl Méndez, Jaime Caballero and David Niño, representatives of the National Union of Workers of Construction Industry and Similar (Suntracs), visited the Raúl Tamayo Camp, of the Services Company of this branch (Garbo), about five kilometers from the city head.
Accompanied by Carlos de Dios Oquendo, general secretary of the National Union of Construction Workers of Cuba, visitors toured the facility, which has excellent comfort to house about 120 builders, those who enjoy a multimedia library and a game room, among other facilities for their rest and self-improvement.
The trade unionists, who arrived in the island to participate in the call to the 21st Congress of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC) on January 28, expressed their satisfaction with the attention provided by that entity to its workers, which they attributed to the high levels of awareness and social development promoted by the Cuban Revolution.
As an example of solidarity with the Holguin builders, foreign visitors donated a laptop to Camp Raúl Tamayo, which will be part of the Multimedia Library.
The visitors, who had previously visited the East-West Water Transfer, in the municipality of Mayarí, highlighted the social and economic impact of this extensive hydraulic investment, an important example of the immense work promoted by the Cuban Revolution. / ACN
