Accompanied by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, first secretary of the Party in the territory; Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, president of the Government in the province; Vivian Rodríguez Salazar, general director of Housing, and other officials, Valdés Menéndez urged to increase the quality of local productions.

Before executives of the Government, Housing and entities linked to these programs, he said that the contribution of one percent to Local Development must support the obtaining of real estate.
For her part, Rodríguez Salazar explained the need for housing construction in Holguín, as in the next three years are estimated about 70,000 to complete, still insufficient by the existing deficit of almost 115, 970, damaged by climatic effects and precarious conditions.
The Director General of Housing stressed the need to increase mini-industries and productive figures, and urged to streamline procedures of Physical Planning, continue the constructive link with Tarea Vida (State Plan for the confrontation to climate change) and diversify productions until obtaining all the elements for house construction.
Roberto Pupo, director of the Company of Engineers Services Integrated Management Transfers Projects, exposed an experience to be concreted in the future, in which the workers of that entity will build their own homes and will maintain the labor relation with their center. Also, the Commander of the Revolution gave examples of the benefits of bamboo, not only useful in the furniture store, but also in the assembly of houses.
