The local development project Padincuba is boosting business growth and the adoption of best practices among new economic actors in the province, with the aim to generate benefits for the population.
This institutional project integrates expertise from the Center for Local Development Management Studies (Cegedel) at the University of Holguín, the state-run Center for Sociocultural Development (Centro de Desarrollo Sociocultural), and the Directorate of Territorial Development, explained Neyvis Moreno Moreno, director of this agency in the provincial government.
Padincuba boosts non-agricultural businesses and cooperatives focused on responding to the needs of the region from the initial idea to market positioning in the province, she noted.
It includes training programs in marketing, corporate social responsibility, accounting and finance, as well as preparation for accessing public funding opportunities, one of the most sought-after services.
She highlighted that, as part of their support for entrepreneurs, they have 13 established businesses and another 13 in the development process, focused on capacity building, regulatory compliance, and skills enhancement.
The program has been established with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship, improving the quality of life for the population, and expanding the supply of goods and services. (Source: ACN)
