Nordwind Airlines opens route between Moscow and Holguín

Starting October 29th, Pegas and Nordwind Airlines will open new route between Moscow and the Cuban eastern province of Holguín .
This flight will connect Holguín's destination with this important tourist source market, as in 2017, when this air route opened for the first time with direct flights from the Eurasian nation to this northeastern province, home to one of Cuba's most important tourist destinations.
Nordwind Airlines is a Moscow-based charter airline that began operations in December 2008 with two Boeing 757-200s from its base at Sheremetyevo International Airport in the Russian capital.
On the other hand, it was recently announced the management agreement signed between the Cosmos Hotel Group, Russia's largest operator, and the Cuban company Gaviota S.A., for the management of the five-star Sierra Cristal Hotel, located in the El Ramón de Antilla Peninsula region, in the northern part of Holguín province.
This new 640-room resort will operate in the market under the name Sierra Cristal by Cosmos Hotels, following an agreement signed during the Tourism Territories Forum (FTT-2025), held in mid-October at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex in Moscow.
