There is no shortage of solidarity for the first hospital inaugurated by the Revolution in eastern Cuba. This time, Chilean Miguel Sanhuesa, who lives in Canada, arrived in the city of Holguín with supplies and ozone therapy equipment.
Sanhuesa donated to the Vladimir Ilich Lenin University General Hospital about 90 kilos of disposable materials and supplies, as well as an ozone Therapy equipment that will replace the existing domestically manufactured, which after more than 20 years of operation, stopped functioning eight months ago.

He thanked everyone who helped arrange this shipment from Canada and Italy. “Italian friends donated the equipment and sent it to me to bring to this hospital, which I greatly admire. I also deeply identify with the Cuban Revolution and its people,” he said.

For his part, Dr. Juan Gómez Fernández, specialist from the Territorial Oncology Center at the hospital, noted the benefits of this donation for patients who require this service. About 10,000 receive treatment each year, including cancer patients from Holguín and several provinces in the eastern region.
