The Mirador de Mayabe Hotel, part of the Islazul chain in Holguín, was founded on April 16, 1960, and has since become an icon located on a mountain overlooking the Mayabe valley.
The hotel preserves Cuban traditions, such as the famous story of Pancho the donkey, a beloved symbol linked to the parrandas of the 1940s. This anecdote has become one of the hotel's most cherished symbols.
Over the years, the hotel has undergone various renovations to modernized its spaces combining modernity with a rustic and cozy style. It has 44 rooms distributed among the main house, standard blocks, and bungalows in gardens that invite relaxation and contact with nature.
Yasmany García Valdes, the venue's host, explained that its attractions include special event areas, in addition to the restaurant "La Finca del Campesino." She also said: "The pool and lobby bar complete a proposal that combines tradition and quality service."
It offers event spaces, a typical restaurant called "La Finca del Campesino," a swimming pool, and a lobby bar, blending tradition with quality service. Its offerings adapt to the season, with more domestic tourists in the summer and an increase in international visitors during Winter.
The Mirador de Mayabe is a place that brings together history, legend, and nature. More than 60 years of hospitality support its position as a must-visit destination in Holguín.
