Holguin University Promotes Agricultural Studies

Agricultural studies are today a priority for Cuban authorities, especially in Holguin province.
A report from the Cuban News Agency (ACN) states that the University of Holguin particularly exhibits remarkable results at the end of this school year, among them is a teaching unit on agronomy.
This unit is located in Cueto municipality as a space for the practical connection of students with the aforementioned specialty.
This initiative particularly favors the students of this profession, and was established in that western Holguin territory due to the area has a wide potential of agricultural and sugar development programs related to agronomy.
Roberto Perez, vice rector who attends the undergraduate process in the mentioned studies center, stressed that the professionals in training have the possibility, through this initiative, of carrying out work practices and interacting with their own disciplines.
The studies linked to agriculture and food production are a priority for university authorities throughout the country. / PL
