FMCIn a post on X on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), President Miguel Díaz-Canel praised their active role in the Revolution.

"When I speak of creative resistance, I think of Cuban women," he wrote, “and their generous dedication to the common work, smiling when times are bad and singing when triumph comes."

Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People's Power, also congratulated Cuban women and praised their daily engagement in the nation’s main tasks as a worthy tribute to the legacy of Vilma Espín, founder and eternal President of the organization.

Likewise, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero shared the words of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro when he said, "In Cuban women, the Revolution today has a true army, an impressive political force. And that is why we say that the Revolution is simply invincible", whereas Bruno Rodríguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the important achievements of the FMC in terms of equality and commended women’s role in Cuba’s foreign policy, based on the principles of internationalism, anti-imperialism, solidarity, peace, development, and unity among the countries of the South.

"The FMC is more than an organization: it is a symbol of struggle, unity, and transformation. And each member is a protagonist of that legacy, which is renewed with every gesture of solidarity, every victory for justice, every step toward equality," stated the organization's National Secretariat in its own congratulatory message.

Founded on August 23, 1960, the FMC develops policies and programs aimed at achieving the full exercise of women's equality in all spheres and at all levels of society. (Source : ACN)
