Comprehensive visit of the Central Committee of the Party to Holguín concludes today

The Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez presides over this Friday the concluding meeting of the comprehensive visit of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party to the eastern province of Holguín.
The secretary of that organization, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, also participates in the meeting.
Morales said that the objective of this visit was fulfilled based on the evaluation of the implementation of the ideas, concepts and guidelines emanating from the 8th Congress of the Party.
He pointed out that the results of the work program carried out for three days in Holguín will allow drawing up strategies to improve the quality of life of the more than one million inhabitants of the province.
The visiting team spoke with workers from 210 work centers of economic and social importance to learn first-hand how the agreements approved at the last PCC Congress, aimed at boosting the national economy, benefit them. They also toured 45 communities in complex conditions of vulnerability and held exchanges with more than 10,000 Holguín residents.
Problems related to the low levels of agricultural crops, communities that require immediate investment to improve the structural conditions of their homes and social facilities, the deterioration of roads, damages to the water supply and other emergencies were raised by the population, but with the confidence that progressively they can be solved.
Holguín is the second province after Sancti Spíritus where the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC and its auxiliary structure carry out this checking visit this year.
