Specialists from the Company of Artistic and Literary Promotions (Artex) in the province of Holguín are working on the implementation of a new project, which helps to avoid contagion with the COVID-19 pandemic in their cultural centers from the use of the new information and communication technologies.
Rafael Cristo, a public relations specialist at the Holguín branch explained to ¡ahora! digital newspaper that it is a QR code system, which will be first implemented in the Charles Chaplin Cafeteria with the aim that customers access the menu without having to touch the paper support with their hands.
He said that the application that can be accessed with cell phones improves its daily update modes before starting this service, which will later be extended to all Artex centers in the northeastern territory.
He explained that in the case of the Beny Moré room and the Casa de la trova El Guayabero, located in the historic center of the city, as well as the Batería Fernando VII and El Colonial in the coastal municipality of Gibara, they are ready to receive international tourism once the cultural excursions are resumed in coordination with the Paradiso Agency, another of the business lines of this company along with the shops and cultural centers.
The use of disinfectant gels and chlorinated solutions in addition to the necessary use of masks, are among the sanitary measures that guarantee the public an excellent service that has its best allies in safety and comfort.
Since its creation more than three decades ago, the Artistic and Literary Promotions Company has 12 branches throughout the country. Its stores and recreational centers defend the most genuine Cuban culture in their products, while the Paradiso agency is the official venue of cultural events that take place on the Caribbean island.
