No COVID-19 cases in Cuba yet, but on the alert

Cuba remains to this day without any case of COVID-19, which has already spread to 73 countries with more than 90,850 people infected worldwide, of which more than 3,100 have died.
 
The national public health system of Cuba has taken measures, based in the practice of preventive medicine, which itself is based on a social model at the primary level that is capable of acting in the educational and prophylactic order, to avoid greater pitfalls.

According to the Granma newspaper, Cuba also has specialized hospital centers and diagnostic methods to deal with this situation, in addition to the experience and professionalism of its doctors, who have acted in emergency conditions abroad.

In the Americas there are 119 patients who have contracted the virus, which is why it is necessary to be ready and informed, the newspaper said.

The same source stated that a case was reported in Argentina, 2 in Brazil, 33 in Canada, 1 in Chile, 7 in Ecuador, 5 in Mexico, 1 in Dominican Republic, 66 in the United States, 2 in Saint Barthélemy and 2 in Saint Martin. / PL
