Holguín health professionals return from Bolivia

The first group of health professionals from the province of Holguín who were in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, arrived in this city on Sunday morning.
“In Bolivian lands, we demonstrated the Cuba’s solidarity to the World,” said Dr. José Risbel Rojas Díaz upon his arrival in Holguín.
Rojas, specialist in emergency intensive care at the Lucia Iñiguez Surgical Clinic Hospital, in the city of Holguín, said that during the three years in which he remained in that country he met a noble population in need of health services that today will be difficult to receive due to the economic limitations of their families.
The doctor, who provided health assistance in the area El Alto, La Paz, expressed to be sorry about the ending of that mission at a time when thousands of Bolivians need health services.
For his part, Agustín Carballo, a pediatrician at the Octavio de la Concepción and La Pedraja hospital in the city of Holguín, with only seven months and a half in that mission, expressed his surprise by the reaction of the Bolivian military commanders against the people, who was grateful for the medical services offered by Cuban specialists in different regions.
With joy and pride in having brought medical attention to the most needy in the South American nation, they were received by Party authorities, the Government and the provincial Public Health Directorate.
