On occasion of the Latin American Dentistry Day, which is held every October 3 since 1917, the Cuban Society of Stomatological Sciences was constituted today in the city of Holguin, with the aim to improve the training of these health professionals and the services to the population.
The association, headed by Dr. Edna Garcia, a second degree specialist in Comprehensive General Stomatology, joins to those previously created of Orthodontic Studies, Periodontology, Stomatological Prosthesis and Stomatology.
As of this Thursday, the call is open to all professionals in this branch of health who show interest in joining society through access to the website https://cnscs.sld.cu and the payment of an annual fee of 20 Cuban pesos, Garcia said.
The agenda for the presentation of the new association included several conferences on the development of dentistry worldwide; highlighting the one offered by Dr. Beatriz Laplace on the tendency to restore the rear teeth with resin, self-curing or photopolymerizable sealing paste which have properties such as hardness, strength and aesthetics.
The constitution of the new medical society emerged after the First Provincial Meeting ODONTOS, a scientific event held since the 1990s on the day for Latin American Dentistry Day.
