Holguín hosts Symposium on Hepatocarcinoma and Imaging Conference

Between the 26th and 28th of this month, the Public Health sector in Holguín will host the scientific events the Hepatocarcinoma Symposium in Eastern Cuba and the ORIENTIMAGEN National Imaging Conference, with the participation of professionals from several health institutions across the country.
The Hepatocarcinoma Symposium will begin on the 26th with the presentation of around ten research results from specialists from the Hermanos Ameijeiras clinical surgical hospital and the Cira García International Clinic, both in Havana.
The ORIENTIMAGEN National Imaging Conference is scheduled to take place on the 27th and 28th with working sessions that include topics sucha as Normal Hepathic Doppler Ultrasound, presented by Ms.C. Melvis González Méndez, from the Dr. Carlos J. Finlay central military hospital in Havana; Pancreatic Tumor Staging from an Ultrasound Perspective, by Dr. C. Jorge Luis Hernández Castro, of Hermanos Ameijeiras hospital and Anatomical Variants of the Paranasal Sinuses, by Ms.C. Yamila Cruz, from the Lucía Íñiguez Landín hospital of Holguín.
Knee Ultrasound: Initial Approach and Imaging Spectrum of COVID-19 and its Long-Term Sequelae, by Dr. Madyaret Águila Carbelo, Dr. Arnaldo Milián Castro and Dr. Analíz de Paula Paredes, respectively, are also among the topics for debate among participants.
In total, more than 30 studies will be discussed in plenary sessions, according to information from the Imaging Chapter in this eastern Cuban city.
The Holguín Imaging Chapter has been recognized for its continuous scientific activity, conducting workshops, accredited courses and specialized conferences for seven consecutive years.
