CBA-100 product with Industrial Property Registration

The CBA-100 product was registered in the Cuban Industrial Property Office, as a supplement and medicine for human and animal use and one hundred percent organic, which was conceived by two people from Holguín during the confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.
Dr. Alma Torres Gómez from Cádiz, head of the project, explained that this biological complex with anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating, antioxidant and healing properties will be presented in the following pharmaceutical forms: capsules, tablets, suspension, syrup, sachet and dry bulk drug, in this case, to be used in a natural disaster, war or other emergency.
The specialist from the Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate at the University of Medical Sciences of Holguín (UCMHo) added that the next most immediate step will be to receive advice on the economic and legal bases related to that patent.
At the beginning of this year, the encapsulation of CBA-100 began at the Center for Immunology and Biopreparations of Holguín (Cibho), to enable the clinical trial, which has been preceded by an arduous and thorough laboratory study since 2020.
The research, once approved, began with the name "Safety and Efficacy of the natural product CBA-100" as contributory to the treatment of patients with COVID-19, today it is almost a reality after completing and approving variuos tests, especially the toxicological study, which was carried out at Cenpalab and BioCubaFarma, in Havana.
The results of the CBA-100 Project have been defended in different municipal, provincial, national and international events, among them, the Second Local Development Fair and the ANIR National Exhibition, in ExpoCuba, as a relevant scientific invention; at the Scientific Conference of the III Congress of Family Medicine, held at the Palacio de las Convenciones and at the VIII Research, Development and Innovation Conference at the University of Seville, Spain.
