Vaccination with Abdala begins in Holguín

The health intervention with the anti-COVID-19 vaccine candidate Abdala began today in Holguín by workers linked to the health sector in this eastern province.
Vaccination is carried out in more than 70 vaccination points, established in 49 clinical sites previously prepared in the three provincial hospitals, 42 polyclinics and other health centers certified to undertake the task.
The Vladimir Ilich Lenin hospital started the inoculation with the vaccine at 8:30 in the morning by Dr. Julio Yamel Verdecia Reyes, director of the center.
On this day, Abdala will be administered to the personnel who work in the emergency room and the intensive care units, which are treated in an orderly manner in the three vaccination places enabled in the outpatient consultation area.
More than 3,000 workers from the Holguín hospital will receive the three doses, the first will be applied in the course of 10 days and then the planned schedule will be fulfilled at 14 and 28 days.
During this health intervention with Abdala, 49 thousand 664 people will be vaccinated, including 38 thousand 43 workers in the sector and 7 thousand 332 students of Medical Sciences in the province.
