The National Conference of Studies on Wars of Independence, the main theoretical space that promotes the XXXIX edition of the Holguín Culture Week began on Tuesday at its usual venue, the Calixto García Birthplace Museum.
The Holguín Culture Week, the oldest celebration held in the City of Parks, takes place from January 14 to 20 to mark the 270 anniversary of the granting of the Title of City and Tenure of Office to this eastern Cuban province.
The 45 edition of the Gibara Culture Week started on January 10 with a bugle call, such as the mambí clamor in the manigua, and a parade through the streets of the also known as Villa de los Cangrejos, on the 205th anniversary of this coastal town.
The project "Semilla" by the renowned Holguín sculptor Luis Silva is among the proposals exhibited at the XIV edition of the Havana Biennial, which takes place in Cuba until April 30, 2022.
Holguín celebrates on these days the National Day "Read the History" with a wide program of activities that includes book presentations, panels and talks, among others.
