Cuban Son was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO this December, during the twentieth session of the Intergovernmental Committee held in New Delhi, India.

During a working meeting with top cultural authorities in the province of Holguin. With the participation of Roberto Fonseca and Nachito Herrera, it was confirmed that Holguin will host the International Jazz Plaza Festival for the first time. From January 25th to February 1st, 2026.

The 31st edition of the Ibero-American Culture Festival begins today with a concert by the Holguín Symphony Orchestra and the Cobre Steel Band from Santiago de Cuba. It brings together over 100 participants from more than 12 countries.
