Holguin Association Summons Memoria Nuestra Award

The Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) and the Organizing Committee of the Romerias de Mayo in Holguin, call for the Memoria Nuestra Award 2019, one of the most important cultural events that will take place in the eastern territory from May 3 to 7.
This Award calls for and promotes debate about regional identities and cultures, as well as the presentation of community projects that defend these values.
This year event will address topics such as the formation and consolidation of Cuban culture will be addressed, with the presentation of researches on the influence of other cultures and the formation of Cuban identity with its traditions, artistic expressions, religion, among other aspects that identify us.
Experiences and community projects that contribute to the development, rescue, and preservation of traditions, as well as the contribution of innovative experiences on cultural promotion, will also be presented.
The agenda also includes the Cuban cultural policy with research on facts, periods, processes that have occurred during these 60 years, as well as studies related to cultural consumption and the role of intellectuals and artists in the political project of the Revolution.
Young Cuban researchers under 35 years of age, whether they are members of the AHS or not, will be able to participate.
