The participation of more than one hundred foreign guests from Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, and Venezuela will distinguish the 32nd edition of the Romerías de Mayo (May Pilgrimages), which will take place in the city of Holguín from May 2 to 8.

Yakelín Tapia Aguilera, Provincial Director of Culture in Holguín, said at a press conference that the confirmed foreign attendance to date is higher than in previous editions.

For his part, Armando Ruiz Olivera, president of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in the province, reported that more than 350 Cuban artists and 100 guests from all the country's provinces will arrive in the city, also known as the City of Parks, to converge in the more than 20 cultural venues proposed for the celebration.

The agenda includes traditional spaces such as the Congress of Thought “Memoria Nuestra”, Palabras Compartidas, Bloguerías de Mayo, Babel, Cámara Azul, Destrabando la Trova, Quiero una Canción, Rockmerías, and Electroromerías.

Yasel Toledo Garnache, national president of the AHS, stressed the need to promote new cultural management platforms for young creators from around the world, focused on borderless artistic expansion.

The 32nd edition of the Romerías de Mayo, dedicated to cultural industries in support of young artists, brings together the best creators and artists from the country and those from other nations to make Holguín the venue for the World Festival of Young Art.
