Holguín to host new edition of Satiricón Humor Festival

The Satiricón 2025 Humor Festival will take place in Holguín from February 22 to March 2 with various shows and workshops, according to the organizing committee in a press conference.
Under the general direction of Eider Luis Pérez, the inauguration of the 11th edition of the festival will take place on Saturday night with the show "3 x 3 es 11 Satiricón 2025”, with the participation of the groups La Leña del Humor and Etcétera, and the artists Michel Pentón and Jorge Bacallao.
Eider Luis Pérez, president of the organizing committee, announced that the nine shows conceived for the event will take place in the Raúl Camayd Hall of the Eddy Suñol Theater Cultural Complex at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
He added that this edition will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Caricare Duo, a Holguín comedy group founded on November 25, 1995 and made up of actors Onelio Escalona Vargas and Mireya Abreu Pérez, which has received several recognitions for the quality of its shows.
Three shows will be premiered for the Holguín public: Jucio final, Los plagiadores de Etcétera (world premiere) and 2025, giving firewood.
Satiricón will carry out artistic presentations and workshops at the university campuses in Holguín, where they to involve students in the creation and appreciation of humor. It will offer tools that allow them to express their vision of the world through comedy, mainly to members of the amateur artists movement.
