U.S. Congresswoman calls on U.S. Congress to act regarding a possible military operation against Cuba

U.S. Congresswoman Delia C. Ramírez, representative for Illinois’ 3rd District, publicly demanded that Congress convene and adopt a War Powers Resolution regarding Cuba, with the aim of preventing a U.S. military operation undertaken without legislative authorization. Ramírez currently serves on the House Committees on Homeland Security and Veterans’ Affairs.
In a message posted on X, the congresswoman stated:
“From Iran to Cuba, warmongers in power cannot be trusted! We cannot allow Trump, Hegseth, and Rubio to carry out another illegal military operation against a sovereign nation! Congress must reconvene immediately and pass a War Powers Resolution for Cuba.”
Ramírez added that the United States must continue debating policy toward the island and, in her words, “pursue policies that prioritize diplomacy, human rights, and cooperation with our neighbors.” (Taken from RHC)
