Holguín: XXVI edition of the Celestino Short Story Prize announced

The presentation of the call for the 26th edition of the Celestino Short Story Prize took place this Tuesday at the headquarters of the La Luz Cultural Communication Center in the city of Holguín.
The contest, organized by Ediciones La Luz and the literature section of the Holguín branch of the AHS, will take place from June 10 to 14 and will be dedicated the 100 years of "The Process" by Franz Kafka, the centenary of Yukio Mishima and the 20th anniversary of the death of Guillermo Cabrera Infante.
This year's edition is framed under the motto "Celestino died for the rose", inspired by the work "Dead for the roses" by Yukio Mishima, as explained by Robert Ráez, designer of the publishing house.
Cuban writers under 35 years of age may participate in this contest with an unpublished text which must have between 45 and 70 pages and will be received exclusively by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. until May 26, 2025. Participants must send two files: one with the text of the book and another with the sealed blid, both duly identified.
The winner will receive a diploma, 10,000 pesos and the publication of their work (print and e-book), which will be evaluated by a jury made up of renowned literary figures. The ruling will be announced on June 13, 2025 during the " Abrirse las Constelaciones " event.
