The second edition of the Minimum Literary Contest for short stories, whose deadline expires on December 15, has been convened by the literary creation and dissemination group Papikra of the "Manuel Dositeo Aguilera" House of Culture and the Municipal Directorate of Culture in the province of Holguín.
Members of the literary workshops belonging to the network of Houses of Culture throughout the national territory may participate, with the exception of the winner of the previous edition. The topic will be free and the texts must be unpublished and will not exceed two pages.
Three prizes will be awarded: first, second and third prize consisting of 1500, 1000 and 500 CUP respectively, in addition to the accrediting diploma. Mentions may also be awarded as the jury considers, and the publication of the works (prizes and mentions) will be managed without this constituting a commitment from the organizers.
To promote cultural exchange, the award will be announced within the framework of the Holguín culture festivities, in January 2025. The objective of the contest is to promote literary creation in the field of short fiction, encouraging the participation of emerging writers.
