Holguín hosts “Arte para Mamá” craft fair

With more than 50 participants from various Cuban provinces, the “Arte para Mamá” (Art for Mom) crafts fair, by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), is taking place in Holguín until May 11th this month.
The event, as part of the activities for the Romerías de Mayo, takes place at ExpoHolguín fairgrounds and has the participation of creators from Guantánamo and Havana who exhibit furniture, toys and footwear.
In statements to ACN, Carmen Hernández Torres, deputy commercial director of the Holguín subsidiary of the FCBC explained that forms of non-state management and MSMEs offer the public a considerable variety of products, which stand out for their quality and competitive prices.
The greatest demand falls on textile clothing, footwear and household supplies, since during the Fair we will provide items that are not available in the retail network, aimed at satisfying the needs of mothers and their families, she added.
The FCBC promotes Cuban crafts and artistic product through fairs such as Art for Mom, Art for Dad and El Trompo, dedicated to the children.
