Holguin Welcomes Summer Season with Wide Cultural Agenda

The Holguin summer season will officially begin on June 30 at six in the afternoon with a parade starring creators of the Music and Entertainment Company and the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts in this eastern Cuban province.
The summer season will have youth as an age group and the neighborhood as its protagonist, with the premise that culture is not taken to the communities, but it emerges there.
In the schedule of activities highlights the realization, from the first to July 7, of the XIV International Film Festival of Gibara that will bring together in the coastal city important figures of all artistic expressions, both national and international, including, Silvio Rodríguez, Fito Páez, Benicio del Toro and Félix Viscarret.
Gibara will also host the Stereo G Electronic Music Festival, based in the sands of Playa Caletones, where DJockeys from all over the country will meet.
On the other hand, the city of Holguin will welcome the popular Noches Holguineras during the weekends of July and August, which will extend to the different municipalities of the province.
The agenda also includes the celebration of the Children's Day on July 15, as well as the popular parties scheduled from August 16 and 19 in the city of Holguin.
From August 13 to 18, Cuban youth will develop a National Summer Camp, on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of Fidel Castro Ruz.
Summer 2018 will have, among other reasons, the 65th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, the 60th Triumph of the Revolution and the development of the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.
