The subsidiary of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) in Holguín celebrates its 35th anniversary with a wide program of activities that includes commercial, exhibition and social events.

Activities will be carried during the month of July, such as the visit to homes of children without family protection, where donations will be made by its members.

"We have designed a plan of activities that allow us to insert ourselves into various social and cultural spaces to continue our purpose of being useful," commented to ¡ahora! digital Manuel Hernández Ramos, director of the Holguín subsidiary of the FCBC.

The agenda also includes the opening of cultural spaces such as “Papeles son papeles ", by Cuadernos Papiro Publishing House, which seeks to link children with the paper movement and the preparation of handicraft materials, among other activities.

There will also be expo-sales of works by members of the Fund, and in collaboration with the Cuban Association of Artisan Artists (ACAA), exhibitions will be opened in the Bayado gallery, the Fausto Cristo gallery, in the main room of the UNEAC, and in the Pernik Hotel.

It is also planned an international craft fair for the upcoming Romerías de Mayo, which will have the participation of foreign exhibitors from countries such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and Mexico.

Since its foundation in 1988, the Holguín Fund for Cultural Assets has been a benchmark for the work of its artists, as well as for the contribution of significant income to the local and national economy, mainly for the work carried out in cultural spaces, such as Cuadernos Papiro, Ambientes por encargo, Casa Marco, or events such as the Iberoarte International Crafts Fair.

The celebration, which includes the launching of the promotional campaign for its 35th anniversary focused on the institution's corporate image, will be dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí, and to the Holguín poet Delfín Prats, winner of the National Award for Literature 2022.
