National Audiovisual Festival convened in Holguín

The 15th edition of the National Audiovisual Festival “Por Primera Vez” to be held from November 24 to 27, 2022, in Holguín was announced here by Yakelín Tapia Aguilera, director of the Provincial Film Center (CPC).
On this occasion, the filmmakers will participate in the homonymous contest in the genres of fiction, documentary, cartoon and short film of up to 15 minutes. The registration of the works is free and the admission deadline is October 15.
Tapia Aguilera highlighted the contest's rules, among them, that the works submitted to the contest must be their director's debut feature, may not have participated in previous editions of the festival and must have a production date limit of 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Likewise, a Pitch is convened to support audiovisual creation. “All filmmakers interested in obtaining financing to start or complete a cinematographic work can present their project. These will be evaluated by a jury made up of filmmakers and members of the CPC Holguín, who will choose a winning project,” said Tapia Aguilera.
Created in the year 2000, Por Primera Vez seeks to gather new creators from the country, who have the possibility of exchanging with renowned personalities of Cuban cinema.
