Confluence of art in Romerías de Mayo

Cultural centers, open sites and communities of the city of Holguín on these days welcome the activities of the Romerías de Mayo, a celebration that brings together various artistic expressions.
In Bloguerías de Mayo, a meeting that gathers communicators and specialists in the use of information and communication technologies at the Alex Urquiola provincial library, Cubadebate journalists Ana Álvarez Guerrero and Jorge Suñol Robles shared particularities of various multimedia projects being promoted from that digital platform to connect with the youngest audiences.
In the meeting, journalist Danielle Laurencio Gómez explained the strategies they use from the Evoluciona campaign for non-violence towards women and girls, to creating content on social networking sites.
The Martí cinema was the setting for the film script workshop led by Amílcar Salatti, and in the hall Abrirse las constelaciones of Ediciones La Luz, the cultural space Palabras compartidas led to the presentation of texts by writers who belong to the Hermanos Saíz Association.
An initiative of the University Student Federation, called Abrazos contra el bloqueo (Hugs against the blockade), took place in the Calixto García park, which was also the venue for the presentation of troubadour Nelson Valdés.
Open-air dance, theatrical performances, exhibitions and master classes also stood out on the third day of the program for the 29th edition of the World Festival of Artistic Youth.
Until next Sunday the 8th, residents in Holguín and visitors enjoy a festivity that is committed from Cuba to the preservation of cultural memory.
