With support from the People's Republic of China, through the Global Development Fund and South-South Cooperation, a project has begun to strengthen digital transformation and access to public services in Cuba through the Soberanía platform.
The initiative is led by the Cuban Center for Digital Government, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and seeks to contribute to more efficient, transparent, and accessible public administration, the latter institution published on its Facebook profile this Thursday.
The main lines of work include strengthening the technological infrastructure that supports the platform, developing new digital services, and implementing communication and digital literacy initiatives.
The project incorporates an inclusive and equitable approach, with special attention to women, older adults, and people with disabilities, sectors that face greater barriers in the digitization process.
The planned actions aim to harness digital transformation for the benefit of human development and the well-being of the Cuban population, expanding access to technological solutions and fostering citizen participation.
The UNDP reported that the project is part of international cooperation efforts and represents a significant step in improving public administration in the country. (Source: ACN)
