According to the statement, the president will participate in events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the proclamation of independence and founding of the then Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
As part of his agenda, the Cuban president will meet with the main authorities of these countries and visit places of political and economic interest.
The visits to Vietnam and China have special significance, as they are part of the 65th anniversary of the historic relations of brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation between our countries, the source stated.
The meeting with Laotian authorities, the statement details, will reaffirm the priority Cuba places on fraternal and friendly relations with that sister socialist country.
The trip will promote the development of bilateral cooperation with these sister nations, the implementation of existing agreements, and accelerate the joint construction of the Cuba-China Community of Shared Future.
The delegation is composed of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez; Emilio Lozada, a member of the Communist Party Central Committee and head of its International Relations Department; and Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment. (Prensa Latina)
