The Telecommunications Company of Cuba S.A (Etecsa) launched this Monday the CubacelTur service, a temporary telephone line for those who plan to visit the Caribbean nation.
After activating the line, the client receives an initial basic package with resources of six GB of data, 100 minutes of voice and the same number of messages.
The SIM card can be requested from abroad through the websites cubaceltur.com and recargasacuba.com/movil-turista-cuba and once in national territory it will be collected at terminal three of the José Martí airport in Holguín.
Likewise, the line can also be purchased at any commercial unit of Etecsa.
The service can only be purchased with a foreign passport and for use in the Caribbean nation the phone must be unlocked, as well as operate on the 900 MHZ (3G), 2100 MHZ (3G) or 1800 MHZ (4G) frequencies. (Source: PL)
