The Holguín poet Ronel González deserved the José Jacinto Milanés National Poetry Prize granted by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in Matanzas, for his poems Nada es real salvo la noche (Nothing is real except the night).

It is impossible to measure or evaluate in figures what was contributed by the Cuban Revolution in sports and physical culture in terms of health, recreation, physical and well-being, joys, emotions, dignity and national pride. This is the case in Holguin, as in the rest of the provinces. It is also difficult to list the oportunities and so many resources made available to the general population and their sporting talents.
The municipality of Banes, with more than 80, 000 inhabitants, was the venue this Wednesday for the main celebration of the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, in recognition of the results achieved in 2017.
